Job description

A Perinatal Sonographer opportunity is available at a women's health clinic in Reno, NV. This position focuses on obstetric and gynecologic sonography within a dedicated perinatal setting, working directly alongside physicians to support patient diagnosis and care.

The role. Reporting to supervising physicians and collaborating closely with the broader healthcare team, the Perinatal Sonographer performs and reports results of sonographic examinations ordered by attending physicians, acquiring and analyzing data using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies. The sonographer generates preliminary reports in the PACS system, assists with obstetrical procedures requiring ultrasound guidance, and communicates summary findings to physicians to support diagnosis and patient management. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining equipment performance, overseeing room preparation and sterilization, and serving as a communication liaison between the physician and the patient. The role requires the ability to recognize and respond to emergencies and to resolve patient care issues as they arise while maintaining strict compliance with patient privacy requirements.

What we're looking for.

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required at time of hire
  • RVT registry preferred
  • AHA BLS
  • Nasal Bone certification from an accredited source
  • Nuchal Translucency certification from an accredited source
  • Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is not required, but a PLUS!
  • Minimum two years prior OB experience or Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic

Schedule. Mondayโ€“Thursday, 8:00 AMโ€“4:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AMโ€“12:00 PM; no weekends or on-call, with occasional overtime on scheduled shifts.

Compensation. $122,000 - $150,000 per year plus Sign up bonus up to $30k! ($10k, paid out over 3 years). Relocation is not being offered.
