Job description

All Creatures Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, compassionate technician who wants to fully utilize their education and experience while building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and their pets. In this role, you will:

  • Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, dental cleanings, and dental radiographs
  • Ensure efficient exam room workflow while delivering outstanding, empathetic client communication
  • Review treatment plans, provide clear discharge instructions, and confidently address client questions
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and support staff during outpatient visits to ensure the highest standard of patient care
  • Work at the top of your license in a supportive, team-focused environment

This position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about excellent medicine, value strong client relationships, and thrive in a collaborative, respectful workplace.

Schedule:

  • Flexible, full-time position
  • 5/8 schedule, Monday–Friday
  • Weekend rotation with a technician and assistant every 5th weekend (adjusted for holiday rotation)

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $16-20 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure
  • CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on licensure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 5+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Mississippi is preferred
  • Proficiency in:
    • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
    • IV catheter placement
    • IV/IM injections
    • Cystocentesis
    • Microscope evaluation
    • Exotic animal experience (preferred)

Our recently remodeled hospital (2023) is well-equipped with modern technology, including digital X-ray, digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, laser therapy, anesthesia monitoring, an in-house lab, endoscopy, and reproductive services.
