The Salary range does not include shift differential of 1.00 per hour for the 3rd shift position.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for welding, inspection , and maintaining weld qualifications. All entry level and experienced welders will cross train on all operations in group to include brazing, laser marking, deburring, and assembly.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Welders must be able to meet and maintain company guidelines by performing the following essential job functions:

โ€ข Ability and willingness to follow directions and ability to work independently

โ€ข Must have the ability to learn welding skills and progress to different levels

โ€ข Must have the ability to troubleshoot basic welding issues

โ€ข Must have the ability to use basic measurement tools

โ€ข Must have the ability to interpret blueprints and welding process specifications

โ€ข Must be able to communicate and work well with other employees

โ€ข Must have ability to maintain efficiency and quality requirements

โ€ข Report all non-conforming material to team leader immediately

โ€ข Must comply with the rules and regulations mandated under the following quality and governmental standards; ISO 9000, AS 9100, ITAR, and ISO 14001

โ€ข Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards

โ€ข Ability to pass an annual Eye Exam per QP400

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES and / or EXPERIENCE

โ€ข High School Diploma or GED โ€ข Experience working in a manufacturing environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS

โ€ข Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.

โ€ข Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from manufacturing personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

โ€ข Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.

โ€ข Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

โ€ข Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

โ€ข Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)

โ€ข Experience in multi-functional and product development teams preferred.

โ€ข Experience in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.

โ€ข Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills.

โ€ข Must be able to work under general supervision and take direction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

โ€ข While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear, stand, use hands; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Physical requirements are the ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
