Job Description: Insurance Producer (Personal Lines)
Job Title: Insurance Producer (Personal Lines)
Location: Stonebriar Insurance -- Frisco, TX 75034
Reports to: Agency Leader or Executive Vice President
Department: Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Purpose:
Sells new accounts and renews existing accounts in keeping with agency and individual goals while building relationships with clients. Identifies and solicits sales prospects from various sources.
Position Function:
  • Presents proposals in a professional manner.
  • Makes the sale and collects necessary deposits, arranges for binders, certificates, etc. Collects all premium that are due on or before effective date of coverage.
  • Negotiate annual new and renewal production goals with Sales Manager.
  • Develop prospect through a direct solicitation, referral from present accounts, and target marketing leads and through community affiliations and other contacts.
  • Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to complex problems, conclusions, or approaches to problems and what options may be most appropriate to meet a prospect's needs.

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Holds a Property & Casualty or Life & Health insurance license, or ability to obtain after hire date
  • 3 Years Prior Professional Experience as a Sales Consultant working with customers with a successful track record of new business and providing an exceptional experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Knowledge of general business principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, profit/loss requirements, organizational structures, and operational needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Requires travel to networking, prospect, and client locations.
