Job description

Job Title: Director of HR Talent Experience
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer

Location: Sandy, UT -or- Scottsdale, AZ
Position Summary
The Director of HR Talent Experience serves as a strategic HR leader responsible for designing, implementing, and executing enterprise-wide talent initiatives that strengthen ALKEME's culture, leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience. This position partners closely with executive leadership to drive organizational priorities across talent management, employee engagement, mergers and acquisitions integration, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives.
The Director plays a critical leadership role in ensuring newly acquired agencies are successfully integrated into the ALKEME organization while simultaneously developing scalable HR programs that support continued growth. This position combines strategic planning with operational execution, leading cross-functional initiatives that enhance organizational capability, improve employee engagement, and support business transformation.
Success in this role requires exceptional business acumen, executive presence, project leadership, organizational influence, and the ability to effectively navigate a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
1. Talent Management amp; Organizational Development
  • Lead the design and execution of ALKEME's enterprise talent management strategy.
  • Develop succession planning processes for critical leadership and business roles.
  • Build organizational talent review processes and calibration sessions.
  • Partner with leaders to identify high-potential talent and create individualized development plans.
  • Design career architecture and career progression frameworks across the organization.
  • Develop leadership competency models aligned with ALKEME's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee performance management programs, including goal setting, talent reviews, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning and organizational design initiatives.
  • Develop enterprise leadership development curriculum through ALKEME University.
  • Support executive coaching and leadership effectiveness initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend strategies to strengthen organizational capability.
2. Mergers amp; Acquisitions Integration
  • Lead the HR integration strategy for newly acquired agencies.
  • Partner with Corporate Development during due diligence activities related to organizational structure, talent assessment, compensation, benefits, culture, and workforce risks.
  • Develop and manage Day One and Day Two integration plans.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for acquired employees.
  • Ensure timely integration of HR systems, policies, benefits, payroll, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop communication strategies supporting organizational transitions.
  • Partner with agency leadership to successfully transition employees into the ONE ALKEME culture.
  • Monitor integration milestones and report progress to executive leadership.
  • Identify integration risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve acquisition integration processes.
3. Employee Engagement amp; Culture
  • Lead enterprise employee engagement strategy.
  • Design and administer employee engagement surveys.
  • Analyze engagement data and develop action plans with business leaders.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen organizational culture.
  • Develop employee recognition programs.
  • Lead enterprise communication initiatives supporting employee engagement.
  • Champion ALKEME's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Develop strategies that strengthen employee retention and organizational commitment.
  • Measure organizational health using engagement metrics and employee feedback.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners on engagement initiatives across the organization.
4. Strategic HR Projects
  • Lead enterprise-wide HR transformation initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional projects supporting organizational growth.
  • Implement new HR technologies and process improvements.
  • Develop HR policies and programs supporting organizational scalability.
  • Lead change management initiatives across multiple business functions.
  • Support executive strategic planning initiatives.
  • Develop executive presentations, business cases, and board materials.
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate organizational investments.
  • Improve HR operational effectiveness through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead special projects assigned by the CHRO and Executive Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, MBA, or related discipline preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise talent management initiatives.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions integrations.
  • Experience developing employee engagement strategies.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional projects.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting multi-location organizations.
  • Insurance brokerage or financial services experience preferred.
  • Experience in private equity-backed organizations preferred.
Professional Certifications

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Change Management Certification
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
