Job description

Ortho Northeast (ONE) Fort Wayne, IN Full Time Jun 16, 2026 · Jun 16, 2026

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana (with statewide network expansion)
Job Type: Private Practice (Employed with Partnership Track)
Position Type: Full-Time

Ortho Northeast (ONE) is actively recruiting a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join one of the largest and most established independent, physician-led orthopedic practices in the United States. This position offers a rare opportunity for a graduating hand fellow or early-career surgeon to step into a pure hand surgery practice with immediate volume, zero dedicated hand call, and a clear, transparent track to full partnership and ancillary ownership.

Position Highlights & Description

As a Hand Surgeon at ONE, you will inherit the market-leading brand recognition and infrastructure required to instantly scale your clinical practice. You will focus entirely on patient care and surgical excellence while a highly coordinated administrative and clinical team handles operational friction.

  • Pure Hand Practice: Step directly into a dedicated hand surgery volume with the option to expand into a broader upper-extremity scope if desired.
  • Surgical Efficiency: Enjoy access to 2 to 3 dedicated operating rooms per surgeon, backed by a specialized anesthesia team deeply experienced in orthopedic workflows.
  • No Dedicated Hand Call: Maintain an exceptional work-life balance without the burden of specialized hand trauma call.
  • Turnkey Support: Work with a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA), nursing staff, a scribe, and an assigned Hand Program Director to streamline your clinic and operative days.
  • Diverse Surgical Settings: Benefit from seamless scheduling and exceptional block time across both our physician-owned orthopedic hospital and efficient ASC settings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible (BC/BE) Orthopedic Surgeon.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Hand Surgery Fellowship.
  • Graduating fellows and early-career surgeons are highly encouraged to apply. Must demonstrate a collaborative mindset, excellent clinical judgment, and a desire to practice at the highest standards of subspecialized care.

Compensation, Benefits & Financial Path

  • Highly competitive, guaranteed base salary commensurate with experience, transitioning into a lucrative production-based model.
  • Clear, transparent, and structured path to full practice partnership.
  • Immediate and long-term ownership opportunities in our physician-owned orthopedic hospital and multiple physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
  • Up to 60 days of annual vacation, CME, and personal time.
  • Premium health, dental, and vision insurance; robust retirement plans/401(k) matching; malpractice coverage; and professional allowance (CME, dues, journals).

Academic & Professional Growth

While maintaining the autonomy and financial upside of private practice, ONE provides an infrastructure frequently restricted to major academic centers:

  • Research Infrastructure: Access a robust internal research and data-collection framework.
  • Publishing Opportunities: Engage in clinical research, long-term outcomes studies, and academic publishing if aligned with your professional goals.

About Ortho Northeast (ONE)

ONE includes more than 100 orthopedic providers and maintains a long-standing, deeply integrated partnership with a premier regional health system. Together, we are building a rapidly growing statewide musculoskeletal network that includes a top-tier physician‑owned orthopedic hospital and multiple ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across Indiana and beyond.

  • True Autonomy & Scale: Experience the freedom of a physician‑led private practice backed by the stability and safety of a 100+ provider subspecialized group.
  • Immediate Volume: Avoid the multi-year struggle of building a patient base. Our established regional referral network ensures your clinic and OR schedules are filled from day one.
  • Exceptional Culture: Join a collaborative culture defined by deep clinical camaraderie, peer‑to‑peer mentorship for early‑career surgeons, and shared leadership.

If you are looking to build a premier hand practice within a highly efficient, high‑growth environment, we invite you to connect with us confidentially.

  • Direct Inquiries: Call Nikki Navarro at 260-408-2550 for more details.
