Job Description:
  • Troubleshoot and repair of the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment, such as their mechanical functions, mechanical drive units, plumbing architectures, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and VFD controllers' safety circuits which include E-stops, safety relays and safety switches.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems on the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment.
  • Program, upgrade, and troubleshoot Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment through their equipment specific operation software.
  • Evaluate Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment for any repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete work as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled (weekly, monthly, yearly) on the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment and document completed work as per the company's processes and procedures.
  • Prepare the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment for production by performing operations which include rigging and leveling the equipment as well as testing and modifying as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment; as needed, disassemble, repair, rebuild, assemble and install equipment specific components.
  • Receive instructions and work autonomously to perform required work on the Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment.
  • Coordinate several maintenance projects simultaneously and prioritized accordingly.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements by following proper lockout/tag-out procedures as required.
  • Participate in daily meetings with the maintenance department.

Qualifications:
  • Must have 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic working on rendering and processing equipment manufactured by Dupps and Haarslev as well as on Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment.
  • Must know how to perform technical maintenance in support to these equipment, such as evaluating, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Must also have the ability to consistently perform duties, for extended periods, in a challenging work environment, including exposure to high heat, cold, strong odors, and dust.
  • Must have technical or professional education, certification or license in machinery mechanic, industrial mechanic, electromechanic or similar
