Job description

Department: Warehouse/Logistics

Job Summary: The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting the overall operations of the warehouse. This position involves a variety of tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, contributing to the smooth functioning of the warehouse and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.

Blue Shift (6:30AM-3:15PM)

Gold Shift (7:15PM-4:00)

**Both shifts are subject to up to 2.5 hours of overtime daily**

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Picking and Packing:
    • Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and organizational standards.
    • Ensure proper labeling and packaging of items for shipment.
  2. Receiving and Inspection:
    • Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the received products against packing lists.
    • Report and document any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
    • Organize and manage inventory within the warehouse.
  4. Material Handling:
    • Safely operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
    • Transport materials and products to designated storage areas.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards.
    • Report any product defects or quality issues to supervisors.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding work tasks and priorities.
  7. Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
    • Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  8. Shipping and Documentation:
    • Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.
    • Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
  9. Safety Compliance:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must pass a drug screen and Nationwide background check.
  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
  • Must be flexible to work potential overtime and some weekends.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, and stoop for 8 – 12 hour shifts.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:
