Position Summary
The Food Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing friendly, attentive, and efficient food and beverage service. This position takes guest orders, serves food and alcoholic beverages, maintains dining room cleanliness, and ensures every guest receives outstanding service that reflects the standards of WarHorse Gaming.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to all guests.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and thank them as they depart.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Serve food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and applicable laws.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
  • Monitor guest tables throughout the dining experience by clearing dishes, replacing china, silverware, and glassware as needed.
  • Polish china, glassware, and silverware daily.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the dining room, including assigned deep-cleaning duties.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
  • Bus tables and assist with maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment.
  • Assist hosts, food runners, and fellow servers to ensure efficient service.
  • Record guest preferences in the reservation system to personalize future visits.
  • Recognize returning guests and provide personalized service whenever possible.
  • Follow all company policies, health codes, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and touchscreen technology.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service and ethical conduct.
Preferred
  • Three (3) years of serving and customer service experience.
  • Previous experience using mobile devices or tablet applications in a restaurant environment.

Work Environment

  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • TIPS Alcohol Certification required.
  • Position is responsible for serving alcoholic beverages.
