Responsibilities:

Menu Knowledge:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the food and beverage menu, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide recommendations and descriptions of menu items, including wine and cocktail pairings.
  • Take precise and accurate food and drink orders from customers.
  • Ensure all special requests and modifications are communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.

Alcohol Service:

  • Understand basic cocktail preparation methods and garnishing techniques.
  • Verify the age of customers to ensure they are 21 or older before serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Understand and comply with local and state laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor customer alcohol consumption to prevent over-service.
  • Refuse service to customers who show signs of intoxication and handle such situations professionally.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Check in with guests to ensure their needs are met and promptly address any concerns.
  • Recommend and upsell premium or specialty food and beverage items, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Promote daily specials and promotions to enhance the dining experience.

Communication Skills:

  • Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to coordinate the timing of food and beverage service.
  • Communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen and bar.

Handling Payments:

  • Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately.
  • Provide change and receipts promptly.

Maintain Cleanliness:
