Job Title: Bartender

Reports To: Bar Manager / General Manager

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages safely, efficiently, and professionally. The Bartender creates a welcoming atmosphere, maintains a clean and organized bar, ensures compliance with all alcohol service laws, and contributes to an outstanding guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.

  • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.

  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age requirements are met.

  • Take orders accurately.

  • Recommend beverages, cocktails, wines.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and workstations.

  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and supplies.

  • Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately.

  • Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reports.

  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary in accordance with company policy and state law.

  • Maintain knowledge of current drink recipes, promotions, and menu offerings.

  • Assist with inventory counts and report shortages.

  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

  • Work collaboratively with staff and management to ensure efficient service.

  • Assist with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.

  • Valid state alcohol service certification (TABC Certification required in Texas).

  • Food Handler Certification.

  • Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements
