Who We Are:
Position Details:
The bartender is in charge of serving patrons, providing information to help with beverage selections, presenting ordered choices and effectively ensuring that guests are satisfied with their experience at Bearded Iris. The ideal candidate will be able to provide top-quality customer service while maintaining taproom ambiance and transaction accuracy. This position reports directly to the Taproom Manager.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create positive interactions with taproom guests
  • Work as a team to foster a friendly and fun environment
  • Develop a deep knowledge of beers, products, events, and brewery history
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning, set-up, and breakdown tasks as assigned
  • Be fully knowledgeable of and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Monitor guests intoxication levels and refrain from serving alcohol when appropriate
  • Check identification of all patrons and monitor for underage drinking
  • Help guests select beverages by presenting menu and making informed suggestions
  • Use POS System as instructed
  • Keep customer tabs precise and up to date
  • Bus tables and maintain a clean indoor/outdoor space
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum one year of experience in service industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Has an up to date ABC card
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm demeanor
  • Proficiency in POS System and/or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Physical Demands:
  • Stands and/or traverses taproom for long periods of time
  • Use repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs

Compensation:
  • From $8 / hour
