Position Title: Part-Time Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) / Therapist

Location: Shelby/Jefferson County,Alabama (In-Person and/or Telehealth)

Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible Hours (Days, Evenings and Weekends Available)

Compensation: Competitive Pay Based on Experience and Credentials

About Us

A Better You Counseling Service, LLC is a growing mental health practice dedicated to providing quality, compassionate counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. We are seeking a motivated and professional Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) to join our team and help support the mental health needs of our community.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.

Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate and ethical documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and state requirements.

Participate in clinical supervision as required by the Alabama Board of Examiners.

Collaborate with families, schools, community agencies, and referral sources when appropriate.

Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field.

Current Alabama Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) credential or eligible for licensure.

Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.

Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and billing requirements preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
