What You’ll Do

As our Ophthalmologist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose ocular conditions
  • Deliver preventative, therapeutic, and surgical care
  • Conduct procedures including:
    • Cataract and glaucoma surgeries
    • Refractive and corneal procedures
    • Vitreo-retinal and oculoplastic surgeries
    • Laser treatments
  • Provide post-operative care and patient education
  • Collaborate with Optometry and multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead outreach village field clinics and support community care initiatives
  • Contribute to quality improvement, reporting, and clinical excellence

Where You’ll Work
  • Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center (CAIHC)
  • TCC Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
  • Occasional travel to rural village clinics

What You Bring
  • MD or DO from an accredited program
  • Completion of Ophthalmology residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABO)
  • Eligible for Alaska medical licensure
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and decision-making skills
  • Passion for culturally responsive, patient-centered care

  • 2+ years of experience (new grads welcome)
  • Leadership interest (Section Lead opportunity available)
  • Commitment to teamwork, compassion, and community service
