Security/Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking an experienced Security/Fire Alarm Technician to join a growing team supporting commercial fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, and access control systems. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a technician who can independently install, program, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems in the field.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) — required for all fire alarm work
  • Hands-on experience installing and servicing Bosch and Notifier fire alarm panels and devices
  • Strong working knowledge of fire alarm code compliance, testing, and inspections
  • Experience with Bosch intrusion detection systems
  • Experience with analog and IP CCTV systems, including Milestone, Avigilon, and Genetec platforms
  • Ability to configure, program, and troubleshoot CCTV systems across Milestone, Avigilon, and Genetec software
  • Experience with access control systems, including Lenel, Avigilon, and Genetec
  • Ability to program and administer access control panels and credentials across Lenel, Avigilon, and Genetec systems
  • Comfortable working independently across fire alarm, CCTV, and access control disciplines on the same job site
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, and access control equipment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, test, and repair Bosch and Notifier fire alarm systems in commercial environments
  • Maintain fire alarm system compliance with Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) standards and local/state fire codes
  • Perform routine fire alarm inspections, program panels, and complete required fire alarm documentation
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot Bosch intrusion detection systems
  • Configure and maintain CCTV systems, including Milestone, Avigilon, and Genetec video management platforms
  • Diagnose and repair analog and IP CCTV camera issues in the field, supporting Milestone, Avigilon, and Genetec software environments
  • Install and program access control systems, including Lenel, Avigilon, and Genetec platforms
  • Manage access control credentials, panel programming, and system troubleshooting across Lenel, Avigilon, and Genetec systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for fire alarm, CCTV, and access control installations
  • Communicate professionally with clients and site personnel regarding fire alarm, CCTV, and access control system status
  • Complete accurate service documentation for all fire alarm, CCTV, and access control work performed

Compensation & Benefits:
