Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Summa Health - Akron, Ohio

Summa Health is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our nationally recognized Heart & Vascular Institute in Akron, Ohio. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a collaborative electrophysiology program with a strong referral network and advanced procedural capabilities. The incoming physician will join an experienced team of 4 experienced EP physicians and 3 advanced practice providers dedicated to delivering innovative, patient-centered cardiovascular care while helping shape the future of electrophysiology within an integrated health system.

Our practice includes high volume complex ablations, CRM device implants, laser lead extractions, LAA occlusion devices, EP consult service with general cardiology fellows and a busy office practice. Summa Health Heart and Vascular Institute maintains a highly collaborative approach and is the largest multidisciplinary cardiovascular medicine team in the tri-county region – one that includes nearly 50 cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and vascular specialists.

Opportunity Highlights

  1. Approximately 3.5 days in the Electrophysiology lab and 1.5 days outpatient clinic per week
  2. Inpatient EP consult service approximately 1 week every 5 weeks
  3. Shared weekend and holiday call with strong physician support
  4. Cardiology fellows assist with consults and inpatient coverage

Candidate Qualifications

  1. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
  2. Completion of Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship training
  3. Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain
  4. Experience with lead extractions is preferred
  5. Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment
