Job Summary

As an IT Principal Systems Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for designing, optimizing, and sustaining highly complex enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and identity-driven infrastructure. This role drives strategic architecture, reliability, and security initiatives across the organization while advancing enterprise identity governance through the implementation and evolution of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC). You will lead large-scale initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and establish standards that enhance performance, scalability, automation, and zero-trust aligned security practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and maintain complex enterprise IT systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Provide architectural leadership for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) environments, enabling identity governance, automated provisioning, access certifications, and secure lifecycle management.
  • Lead multiple high-complexity engineering initiatives, troubleshooting advanced infrastructure challenges and delivering innovative technical solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across enterprise architecture, identity security, cloud technologies, and systems engineering best practices.
  • Develop and enforce organizational policies, standards, and engineering methodologies to ensure consistency across teams and platforms.
  • Establish and lead adoption of automation frameworks, tools, and processes aligned with overall business and technology strategies.
  • Define and govern software testing policies, including software security testing practices, risk mitigation strategies, and continuous process improvements.
  • Set enterprise release management standards, ensuring testing, validation, configuration management, and deployment processes align with organizational compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to systems engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain ownership of strategic technical planning, enterprise architecture alignment, and long-term roadmap development.
  • Partner with IT leadership and key vendors to evaluate emerging technologies, align future product plans, and support evolving identity security ecosystems.
  • Oversee project resourcing, technical governance, and delivery execution while serving as a point of escalation for critical initiatives and releases.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Of Science in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) certification required.
  • 10 years of professional IT experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field required.
  • 5+ years Unix operational experience (Solaris, AIX, Linux) required.
  • 5+ years Windows Server operational experience required.
