Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting a Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL / Redstone Arsenal supporting Capability Program Executive (CPE) Aviation (formerly PEO Aviation) to provide Engineering Support to Army Aviation Weapons Systems.


Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer will:

  • Provide general engineering, systems engineering, and technical support to CPE Aviation project and product offices
  • Provide technical input and recommendations to plan, develop, and conduct studies and analysis
  • Support development and evaluation of system requirements
  • Support test and evaluation activities
  • Provide technical input to contracting efforts, proposal evaluations, and risk assessments
  • Provide technical input to briefings and participate in meetings, working groups, and technical interchange meetings
  • Support planning, management, and execution of aircraft enhancement programs and training devices
  • Support conducting market research, evaluating design and integration approaches, performing risk assessment of technologies, and developing and executing obsolescence mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical input to airworthiness qualification and materiel release
  • Support modeling and simulation activities
Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in a technical field such as Aerospace, Computer, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering; Computer Science; Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or similar discipline
  • 10+ Years of experience
  • Active Secret Security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational experience as a pilot or maintainer on an Army Aviation platform
  • Government acquisition experience
  • Airworthiness qualification experience
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
  • Master’s degree
  • 15+ years of experience
