| Aspect | Airworthiness | Aircraft Maintenance Technician |
|---|---|---|
| Certifications | FAA Airworthiness Certificate, type-specific certifications | FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License |
| Work Environment | Regulatory oversight, certification processes, inspections | Performing repairs, inspections, and maintenance on aircraft |
| Industry Usage | Ensures aircraft meet safety standards for flight | Maintains aircraft to meet safety and operational standards |
While both roles are essential in aviation safety, Airworthiness focuses on certifying and ensuring aircraft meet safety standards, whereas Aircraft Maintenance Technicians perform hands-on repairs and inspections to maintain aircraft in operational condition.
