Job Duties:

  • Performs passenger service functions including making reservations, preparation and issuance of tickets and itineraries, checking baggage
  • Performs duties in the departure lounges or at boarding gates when enplaning and deplaning passengers
  • Checks passengers for correct travel documents and ticket validity
  • Performs lost and found activities, tracing procedures and search and returns of found articles
  • Prepares and maintains required records and reports of lost and found activities
  • Prepare receiving of airfreight shipments, establishes acceptability, determines routing, classifies, transfer manifest drayage documents and various domestic and international forms.
  • Maintains inventory and records of shipments accepted, warehoused, dispatched and delivered to customers

Qualifications:

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
  • Attention to detail is required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
  • Stand for extensive period
  • Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.

Working conditions:

  • Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
