This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for the Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor & Curriculum Development


General


This is a full time, FLSA, exempt position, not eligible for overtime, responsible for ensuring all aspects of aircraft maintenance training are consistent with FAA 14 CFR Part 121 and Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Maintenance Training Manual (MTM) requirements. The individual in this position will possess a strong educational background with emphasis in air carrier or aerospace maintenance training and extensive experience in managing training and development programs. He/she will have thorough knowledge of relevant FAA training related regulations and industry standards in order to design and properly deliver the maintenance training programs.


Duties and Responsibilities

Directly responsible to the Aircraft Maintenance Training Manager with respect to information and EAL/EAX course instruction per the training manuals and 14 CFR 121.375

The Maintenance Training Instructor & Curriculum Development is responsible for class instruction of training material contained in EAL and EAX maintenance training manuals.

This position includes:


• Performs instruction in a classroom environment to include remote instruction

• Providing information to the maintenance training coordinator for the upkeep of training files and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS).

• Develops training (curriculum development) courseware for instruction per the EAL/EAX Maintenance Training manual

• Travels to perform instruction to EAL/EAX employees and service providers

• Submits changes to EAL/EAX manuals for adoption of new procedures

• Ensures a training schedule (course of instruction) is maintained for students

• Maintains and revises maintenance training course media for instruction

• Perform other duties as assigned


Education, Qualification and Requirements:

A&P certificate required (Preferred experience on B767, B777 and B737

aircraft)

• Must possess a working knowledge or understanding of the duties, responsibilities and authorities defined within this position description.

• Must be able to produce new training material as new courses are in development

• Must maintain knowledge of the training requirements defined in the maintenance training manuals and must maintain appropriate records to document that the required training has been satisfactorily accomplished.

• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
