Job description

Job Location: Greater Chicago Area, in-office preferred (local candidates will be considered first). Open to hybrid/remote, if candidate is exceptional.

Summary: This is a travel agent role that requires proficiency in Sabre GDS. This is a well-established, family-owned Tour Company that has been operating for 38yrs. Their mission is to make travel dreams a reality on their artfully crafted, all-inclusive tours throughout America and Europe. This fast-growing team is looking to hire an Airline Reservations Agent to join them.

Responsibilities:

  • Book airfare, door-to-door limousine service and airport transfers
  • Book pre & post hotel stays
  • Assist clients in making their reservations and collecting payments
  • Manage client invoicing (deposits, final payment reminders, and cancellations)
  • Help clients prepare for their upcoming tours (answering questions, prepare trip documents, etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3yrs' experience working on Sabre GDS (including ticketing, exchanges, refunds)
  • Must be patient, flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think on your feet in case of an emergency
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Docs
