USAirports Flight Support is a family-owned, full service FBO that operates 24/7/365 and serves the general aviation community in a state-of-the-art facility at the Frederick Douglass - Greater Rochester International Airport. USAirports provides a full range of amenities and support services such as fueling, deicing, hangaring, aircraft maintenance, cargo handling, tie-down, and ramp parking to the airlines, general aviation and transient aircraft on the airfield.


USAirports Flight Support flight line service staff is responsible for fueling and deicing commercial airliners and private jets. Team members help private passengers and pilots with pre-flight services including towing aircraft in and out of hangars, wing walking, as well as loading and unloading jets. If you are passionate about aviation and have a desire to work in the aviation industry, this is a great opportunity for you!


We are seeking flight line service agents for A and B shifts to fill positions that offer a rewarding work experience. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, optional accident and critical care insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time and 401(k). Part-time benefits include paid sick time.


HOURS & WORK DAYS:

Full-Time 40 Hours/Week:

A Shift: 04:30 – 13:00 Workdays: Wednesday – Sunday

A Shift: 04:30 – 13:00 Workdays: Thursday – Monday

B Shift: 13:00 – 21:30 Workdays: Friday – Tuesday

Part-Time 32 Hours/Week

A Shift: 04:30 – 13:00 Workdays: Thursday – Sunday - or -

PAY RATE:

Hourly Rate: $17.00 to $23/hr. Based on Experience

B Shift Differential Included in Hourly Rate


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Refueling aircraft.
  • Deice aircraft.
  • Refueling ground service equipment.
  • Driving fuel trucks and ground support vehicles.
  • Parking, towing, storing, and securing aircraft. This includes directing the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the aircraft operating area.
  • Policing the ramp, lounges, and auto parking areas, ensuring that the cleanliness and security of the company’s aviation facilities is maintained.
  • Moving aircraft in and out of hangar.
  • Assisting passengers in an appropriate manner
  • Meeting arriving and dispatching departing aircraft.
  • Monitoring and maintaining fuel inventories on fuel trucks.
  • Provide lavatory service, water service and supply restocking as requested.
  • Provide shuttle service for passengers and crew as required.
  • Assist with general cleaning and clearing debris from ramp, building and customer areas.
  • A high regard for customer service for the flight crews and passengers of privately owned aircraft must be maintained.
  • Ability to successfully and timely complete USAirports training and computer-based training modules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

TRAINING WITHIN FIRST 90 DAYS:

  • NATA Safety Training
  • Airline Fuel Training
  • Airline Deice Training
  • Aircraft Tow Training
  • Once these benchmarks are achieved, the employee is capable of performing the tasks independently.
  • Potential to become Line Service Lead or Line Service Supervisor.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Required documentation: valid Driver’s License, birth certificate and/or passport.
  • Able to pass a 10-year background check, receive and maintain an airport security badge.
  • Able to acquire customs seal through US Customs and Border Patrol.
  • Excellent dependability, communication, and professionalism required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends.
  • Experience in airline, hospitality/resort, personal customer service industries and/or military service a plus but not necessary.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting for extended amounts of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. from floor to waist level.
  • Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 45’ in a bucket truck and up to 12’ on a ladder.
  • Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility clothing when required.
  • Certain functions may be performed in varying weather and environmental conditions such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The tasks are performed in an airport environment both inside and outside near stationary and moving aircraft (including spinning propellers and engines).
