Key Responsibilities
The Inside Sales Representative - Cargo Sales role is responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term customer relationships while supporting revenue growth within a defined customer portfolio. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers, helping promote products and services, supporting sales opportunities, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The role partners closely with internal sales teams and customers to identify opportunities, support account growth, and deliver exceptional service. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, communication, and sales support capabilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned customers to support customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, bookings, rate quotes, and service-related requests.
  • Assist with onboarding new customer accounts by coordinating set-up activities and responding to basic service inquiries.
  • Prepare sales quotes using established pricing guidelines and support sales initiatives designed to generate additional revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account documentation and CRM data for assigned accounts.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize market intelligence, customer trends, and competitor information to support business planning and sales strategies.
  • Prepare account updates for internal stakeholders.

Note: This position provides for a hybrid work arrangement for candidates located within 50 miles of Newark, NJ; Dulles, VA; or Houston, TX.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0+ years of relevant sales, customer service, cargo, logistics, travel industry, or account management experience
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales tools, or customer information systems
  • Strong communication, customer relationship/experience management, and account management skills
  • Ability to analyze market information, maintain accurate records, and support sales activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge issued by the Airport Authority and a US Customs Seal issued by US Customs and Border Protection
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with customer needs analysis and contract management
  • Experience with data management, reporting, or data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution and issue escalation practices
  • Exposure to airline cargo, freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation-related sales environments
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.
