IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Avionics Technician FULL-TIME Opportunity in Wichita, KS
  • Starting Salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually (including 20% geo modifier)
  • Sign-On Bonus 12,500
  • Monday- Friday Schedule

We're hiring an Avionics Technician responsible for supporting the maintenance, compliance, and safety of our fleet within our 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier operations. This technician will perform avionics maintenance and alterations in accordance with approved technical data and regulatory requirements. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and avionics systems.
  • Interpret and perform work in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), SOP Manual, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to document work and communicate effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to work on days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24 hours a day during the scheduled duty period assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Valid FAA Airframe Mechanic or Repairman Certificate, or qualifying experience to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Three (3) years of field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed Wing and/or Rotorcraft operated under an air carrier (14 CFR Part 135) certificate.
  • Valid State issued Driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Documented experience performing avionics systems installations in modern complex aircraft.
  • Computer skills to include a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Airframe Mechanic certificate
  • Valid Repairmen's certificate or have held one in the past 5 years.
  • Three (3) years Fixed Wing and / or Rotorcraft avionics field maintenance experience with an EMS operator.
  • Three (3) years of experience maintaining aircraft avionics systems working as a repairman for a 14 CFR 145 Certified Repair Station
  • Three (3) years of experience maintaining aircraft systems and / or avionics systems on Beechcraft, Cessna, Pilatus, and Airbus Helicopters

PLEASE NOTE:This position is offered for an Avionics Technician who supports EMS operating / maintenance bases configured with state-of-the-art avionics and EMS medical equipment installed in Fixed Wing and Rotor aircraft. This role requires independent completion of technical and administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
