What You Will Do
  • Assist with aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and component installations under direct supervision.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and service aircraft mechanical, electrical, and functional systems.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level. Prior aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) is helpful.
Position Purpose:
Under direct supervision, assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. In this position, the employee will gain knowledge of and familiarity with the Gulfstream aircraft, and with internal procedures for work completion and quality control.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Gain experience and knowledge in the maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems .
  2. Learn skills related to the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems .
  3. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements .
  4. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner .
  5. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications .
  6. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
  7. Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment .
  8. Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components .
  9. Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .

Additional Functions:
  1. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
  2. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment .
  3. Assist with the movement of aircraft, as required. .
  4. Develop knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .

Perform other duties as assigned.This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
