Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner. The primary responsibility of a Production Planner is to work as part of the Production Control Team to manage daily production schedules and oversee the execution of the production plan to achieve business goals.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $96,000

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees the execution of daily production plans. 
  • Works closely with manufacturing/operations and planning.
  • Daily scheduling of work centers. 
  • Issues daily dispatch lists. 
  • Updates schedules in business system. 
  • Works hand in hand with other planners to prioritize work though critical work centers.
  • Planners have total ownership of their product lines from raw material to shipment.
  • Ensures and updated WIP trackers daily.
  • Works with Master Scheduler to ensure line of balances are accurate and ensures a finished goods state.
  • Review, understand and follow MOS requirements.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field, or 5+ years' experience in Manufacturing/Production environment
  • APICS Certification a plus
  •  Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Word/Excel
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Attention to detail, must be focused, extremely well organized,
  • Ability to multi-task, high energy level
  • Sense of urgency
