Job description

Rotax Aircraft Mechanic (Tecnam Fleet)

We are seeking a Rotax Aircraft Mechanic to join our growing aviation team where we operate a growing fleet of modern light sport aircraft focused on flight training, time building, and advanced pilot development. Our fleet consists primarily of Tecnam aircraft powered by Rotax engines, and we are looking for a hands-on mechanic who takes pride in keeping aircraft safe, reliable, and available for students and instructors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Tecnam light sport aircraft
  • Conduct 100-hour inspections, annual inspections, and preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair Rotax 912 engine systems
  • Diagnose electrical, fuel, cooling, and avionics issues
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbook entries
  • Coordinate parts ordering and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and fleet maintenance standards
  • Assist with aircraft recovery and AOG situations when required
  • Help develop maintenance procedures and reliability programs as the fleet expands

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Experience maintaining piston aircraft with Rotax Engine
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage maintenance schedules
  • Valid driver's license
