FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, has an immediate need for multiple Aircraft Fueler positions for aircraft fueling at its Raleigh-Durham airport operation. Aircraft Fuelers are responsible for fueling the aircrafts of our clients in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Fuel and service aircraft before departure using airport fueling equipment and ground service equipment.
  • Communicate with the airport dispatch team and other airport personnel
  • Record fueling data and fuel dispensing data per aircraft using provided handheld tools
  • Record flight data such as destination, flight number, etc.
  • Conduct safety checks on service equipment such as fueling carts
  • Handle fueling hoses and carts along with other airport fueling equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older;
  • Reliable transportation;
  • Eligible to work in the United States;
  • Valid state driver's license with clean motor vehicle record;
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and federal fingerprint background check.

  • Ability to problem solve;
  • Basic mathematical skills;
  • Demonstrated regular, predictable attendance at the airport location;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires sustained physical effort and consistent exposure to outdoor and potentially hazardous work environments. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Mobility and Access
  • Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders with 50+ steps and work at heights of 50 feet or more, including high, precarious places.
  • Must be able to get in and out of vehicles of varying sizes and heights.
  • Must be able to drive and operate vehicles and equipment of various sizes, including automated lifts up to 26 feet.

Lifting and Carrying
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds overhead.
  • Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds to waist level.
  • Must be able to shovel materials such as snow, sand, dirt, gravel, or rocks as needed.

Standing and Movement
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and balance for extended periods of time.
  • Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending at the waist and knees, and sustaining awkward or physically demanding positions.
  • Capable of climbing and standing on step ladders while performing overhead work, such as connecting fueling hoses.
  • Manual Dexterity
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grip, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.

Sensory Requirements
  • Hear and respond to verbal instructions, environmental sounds, and audible alarms.
  • Maintain the following vision capabilities:
