Are you a top-tier A&P certified mechanic who thrives on a challenge? Strategic Support Solutions is looking for a skilled and decisive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Mechanic to be the go-to expert for critical, time-sensitive maintenance at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.


This isn't your average 9-to-5. You'll be the hero who gets high-end corporate and private jets back in the air, working a unique 7 days on, 7 days off schedule that gives you your life back. Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Be the AOG Expert: Perform high-quality, rapid-response maintenance on a diverse fleet of corporate and general aviation aircraft.
  • Master of Your Craft: Work on a variety of airframes, including Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom 300, Praetor/Legacy), Gulfstream, Cessna (Lattitude), Falcon, Learjet, and Hawker.
  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Execute a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and servicing to complex avionics troubleshooting and FAA-approved repairs.
  • Own Your Work: Read and interpret technical manuals to solve complex issues, accurately complete all work orders, and maintain a clean and organized shop environment.


What You Bring to the Table:


This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a professional attitude.


Must-Have Experience:

  • Valid A&P Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years of general aviation maintenance experience(To qualify for the standard $45–$52/hr wage bracket).
    • Note: Stellar candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience—or a minimum of 2 years consisting strictly of dedicated AOG work—will be considered on an individual review basis at an adjusted starting wage.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Embraer (Phenom, Praetor/Legacy), or Cessna Lattitude.
  • Hands-on experience with Garmin 3000 and/or 5000 avionics suites.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable and willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet) using fall protection.

  • Guaranteed & Competitive Pay: Earn a target hourly rate of $45 - $52/hr based on your qualifications. To provide peace of mind and schedule stability, we guarantee a minimum of $2,500 per paycheck for every scheduled on-week (reflecting a guaranteed baseline of hours), with significant opportunities for overtime and additional earnings.
    • (Note: Candidates approved under the 2-to-3-year experience exception will be offered an adjusted hourly wage below $45/hr, with a corresponding adjusted weekly guarantee).
