Are you an FAA-certified Aircraft Mechanic with a passion for aviation and a desire to share your knowledge? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and want to help shape the future of the industry? If so, the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) wants you on our team as an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor!

At AIM, we're not just teaching aviation-we're launching careers. We're seeking an energetic and mission-driven professional to join our faculty and lead aspiring aviation technicians with engaging instruction, real-world insights, and unwavering support.


What You'll Do
  • Deliver dynamic, hands-on instruction in aircraft maintenance that bridges theory and practice.

  • Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment where students are empowered to succeed.

  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and academic leaders to continuously improve our FAA-aligned curriculum.

  • Keep the lab organized, safe, and stocked with properly maintained tools and equipment.

  • Manage key administrative duties-think grading, attendance tracking, and regulatory compliance-with precision and professionalism.

  • Mentor students, track progress, and proactively address retention issues.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and instructor evaluations.

  • Support our mission by attending faculty meetings, leading training sessions, and completing education modules.


What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong grasp of contemporary aircraft systems and repair practices

  • Effective communication skills with a student-first mindset

  • Organized, tech-savvy, and ready to adapt in a compliance-driven environment

  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in a related field

  • Experience with CampusNexus or similar student management systems
