Job description

Job Title: A&P MechanicJob Description

The A&P Mechanic works as part of an assigned hangar team, including Maintenance Technicians and Quality Inspectors, to support planned maintenance projects on Falcon Jet corporate aircraft. In this role, you troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on all Falcon Jet models while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards and delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Falcon Jet aircraft, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Carry out all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, checks, inspections, and troubleshooting as outlined in the customer work scope.
  • Interpret and use technical documentation, maintenance manuals, and work orders to plan and execute maintenance activities accurately.
  • Document all work performed in work orders and maintenance records, ensuring all documents are completed, signed off correctly, and submitted in a timely manner in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to all applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual, Operations Manual, and all other quality manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply a high level of technical knowledge and experience to all tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Maintain professional communication and conduct with customers, vendors, and flight department or customer personnel, serving as a direct and positive representative of the aircraft manufacturer.
  • Collaborate effectively with Maintenance Technicians, Quality Inspectors, and other team members within the hangar to ensure efficient completion of maintenance projects.
  • Support customer service efforts by clearly explaining findings, work performed, and maintenance recommendations when needed.
  • Utilize computer systems and software for work order management, documentation, and reference to technical data.
  • Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required to support customer activity levels, with advance notice provided when possible.
  • Remain flexible and available to work day, afternoon, evening, or weekend shifts based on business needs.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned to support overall hangar operations and maintenance objectives.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, or 7+ years of hands-on military aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, or equivalent extensive military aircraft maintenance experience without an A&P license.
  • Proven experience in aircraft maintenance on rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on aircraft.
  • Experience with work order documentation and accurate completion of maintenance records.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation, maintenance manuals, and work scopes.
  • Strong computer skills for accessing technical data, documenting work, and managing work orders.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service skills when interacting with customers, vendors, and flight department personnel.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
  • Capability to work various shifts, including day, afternoon, evening, or weekend shifts, to meet business needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Falcon Jet or corporate aircraft maintenance experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a repair station or service center environment.
  • Ownership of standard personal tools; specialty tooling is provided.
  • Strong communication skills for clear interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a hangar team with Maintenance Technicians and Quality Inspectors.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support high service standards.
  • Willingness to participate in additional training, including Falcon-specific training.
  • Interest in professional development opportunities, including potential pilot license training.

Work Environment

The role is based in an aircraft hangar environment at a major service provider for Falcon aircraft in Reno. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
