You are an accomplished Industrial Leader-accountable, reliable, and deeply committed to maximizing the potential of your team. Your success stems from your strategic leadership, which inspires performance excellence while balancing production, maintenance, and team needs, all with a steadfast commitment to safety. Your knack for driving consistency and foresight in addressing long-term production challenges makes you an ideal candidate for our Production Superintendent role at our Moultrie, GA sawmill.

In this role, you'll be an integral member of the Plant Management team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. You will provide overall leadership in the sawmill and work closely with other department heads to ensure efficient and effective divisional operations.

The life of a Production Superintendent includes: 

  • Ensuring the highest level of workplace safety
  • Optimizing the safety and production performance of the operation
  • Providing direction and support for operating and supervisory personnel while fostering a highly effective working relationship with all employees
  • Providing development for supervisory personnel
  • Driving ongoing continuous improvement opportunities and quality control initiatives
  • Developing cost control programs in conjunction with Division business plans and managing area spend
  • Ensuring full compliance with applicable government regulations and corporate policies

For this role, you'll bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial leadership
  • 5-10 years of experience in the lumber manufacturing industry
  • A solid understanding of optimization equipment and processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead change initiatives
  • Proficiency in contemporary business management tools (MS Office) and financial principles
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • A lumber grading ticket (considered an asset)
