Job description

STS Aviation Services is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Production Supervisors in Melbourne, Florida. In this leadership role, you'll oversee a dedicated maintenance crew and ensure all assigned tasks meet FAA regulations, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and a hands-on leadership style to guide operations efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision over assigned maintenance personnel and tasks.
  • Ensure maintenance work and documentation comply with FAA regulations and customer maintenance programs.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage shift schedules.
  • Evaluate and estimate labor and material costs for maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance flow plans.
  • Identify and address training needs, tooling requirements, and special equipment needs.
  • Co-sign for maintenance performed by uncertificated personnel when required.
  • Ensure proper execution and documentation of all work performed.
  • Supervise unfamiliar personnel in proper methods, techniques, tools, and procedures.
  • Maintain daily turnover reports to ensure shift-to-shift continuity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized hangar and work environment at all times.

Position Requirements
  • Prior leadership experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or equivalent environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance practices, and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to evaluate labor, time, and resources for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
  • Experience supervising uncertificated personnel under FAA regulations.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
