Job description

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our aircraft component maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft component repair, a deep understanding of FAA and industry compliance standards and exceptional team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise daily shop operations ensuring workflow, efficiency and adherence to repair schedules and TAT.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
  • Oversee and support technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, safety and environmental standards.
  • Monitor productivity and quality metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Train, mentor and evaluate shop personnel.
  • Provide technical input and support on complex repairs.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical background in aircraft component repair, including sheet metal and composite work.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, 145 repair station requirements and EASA standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in maintenance tracking systems and shop management software (Pentagon preferred).
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.
