Job description

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join:
Our Product Managers imagine the ideal experience for our community and work backwards, creating products that delight our guests and hosts. They deeply understand the needs of our users and our business, and translate these into a strategy that combines strong product thinking with deep research. They partner with cross-functional team members across engineering, design, operations, data science, and more, leading teams to execute a shared vision.
The Difference You Will Make:
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead one of Airbnb's most ambitious new efforts, from an early idea to a global launch. This is not one feature or one surface. It reaches across the company: how people discover and book, how they pay, how they build trust, the support they receive, and the way Airbnb shows up as a brand. Your job is to pull those threads into a single experience that feels new and coherent.
You will own the work end to end, from strategy and product decisions to the story we tell when it launches. Airbnb is a platform that brings people together, and this work sits at the center of that. Get it right and it raises the bar across the guest and host experience, not just one corner of it.
A Typical Day:
  • Define and drive the vision and roadmap for a new product experience, from concept through launch.
  • Set the vision for how this connects stays, experiences, payments, trust, and support into one journey.
  • Make prioritization calls that balance the needs of guests, hosts, and the business.
  • Partner with brand and marketing to shape how the product is introduced and talked about.
  • Bring together teams from across Airbnb, including product, design, engineering, data science, payments, trust, customer support, marketing, and policy, around a shared plan.
  • Launch in stages, learn from each step, and refine as the product grows.
  • Stay close to guests and hosts, using research, data, and market signals to sharpen strategy.
  • Translate complex trade-offs into clear decisions for teams and concise narratives for leadership.

Your Expertise:
  • 10+ years of product management experience, ideally including consumer products people love.
  • A track record of owning ambitious, cross-functional work end to end, from vision through launch.
  • Comfort building something new, where the path is not yet defined and decisions carry weight.
  • Sound judgment on trade-offs, and the ability to make prioritization calls when goals compete.
  • A strong sense of brand and storytelling, and an eye for what makes an experience feel special.
  • Comfort working through trust, privacy, and policy questions at scale.
  • Clear, structured communication, and the credibility to align partners and leaders around a shared vision.
  • A bias toward action and steady progress, even when the path is not fully mapped.

Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Click here for the up-to-date list of excluded states. This list is continuously evolving, so please check back with us if the state you live in is on the exclusion list. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from.
Our Commitment To Inclusion & Belonging:
Airbnb is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible. We believe diverse ideas foster innovation and engagement, and allow us to attract creatively-led people, and to develop the best products, services and solutions. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
We strive to also provide a disability inclusive application and interview process. If you are a candidate with a disability and require reasonable accommodation in order to submit an application, please contact us at: reasonableaccommodations@airbnb.com. Please include your full name, the role you're applying for and the accommodation necessary to assist you with the recruiting process.
We ask that you only reach out to us if you are a candidate whose disability prevents you from being able to complete our online application.
How We'll Take Care of You:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
