Job description

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ***MUST HAVES*** THOROUGHLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY AS WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT MEET THIS CRITERIA:

We are looking for a well-seasoned, experienced HVAC Technician to join our team! Duties will include service and repair of heating / air conditioning systems, geothermal systems, and chilled water systems.

  • Candidate MUST possess a Senior Technician (Level) skillset and have a thorough understanding of the HVAC Trade. We are ONLY considering candidates with several years of DEMONSTRATED experience --- this means service helper or apprentice level (or type) candidates WILL NOT be considered for this position.
  • Candidate will be tested (via written exam) to understand and validate their HVAC Service Technician skill level.
  • Candidate must possess their own tools.
  • Candidate must possess Universal EPA
  • Candidate must possess TDLR card

In addition to the above, please be mindful of the following:

  • Candidate MUST pass a thorough criminal, driving (history) and previous employment background check. No exceptions.
  • Candidate MUST be able to produce original identification documents ex. Driver's License, SSC, Birth Certificate etc.
  • Candidate absolutely MUST BE available Mon-Fri between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm. We must be able to depend on this individual day in / day out.
  • We are NOT looking to hire sub-contractors for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and make necessary repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement HVAC system upgrades or modifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations when working with HVAC systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles and practices.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair various HVAC system components.
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Previous experience as a van driver or mechanic is a plus.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance is beneficial.
