About the Role:

The Residential Install Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the successful installation and setup of HVAC systems in residential properties. This position requires a hands-on approach to installing, testing, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment to guarantee optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The technician will collaborate closely with homeowners and team members to lead through changes in project scope or technical challenges, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount to delivering high-quality installations that meet regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the comfort and safety of residential customers by providing reliable and efficient HVAC solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in installing HVAC systems and equipment in residential settings.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC system components and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HVAC installation or related technical training.
  • Experience leading small teams or guiding customers through technical changes.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Customer service experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test residential HVAC systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Lead and guide team members and customers through changes in installation plans or technical adjustments, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Diagnose and resolve installation issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes, equipment used, and any modifications made during the installation.
