Title of Position: Assembler Level 1

Position Type: Full time; Non-exempt


Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects.


We are looking for Assemblers Level 1 for our 1st and 2nd shifts who support manufacturing by assembling mechanical components, testing assembled products, and supporting various additional activities related to the assembly and testing of oil free scroll compressors. This position is the introduction where you will begin to learn the fundamentals of how to build oil free scroll compressors. Responsibilities include order processing, all outbound shipping arrangements, RMAs and other general administrative tasks. Also supports sales and engineering teams.

We have openings for 1st and 2nd Shifts.


Pay Range: $21 - $25 / hour, based on qualifications and experience


1st Shift Hours: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch break

2nd Shift Hours: Monday thru Thursday 3:30pm – 2:00am with ½ hour unpaid lunch break

Assembler Level 1 Job Responsibilities:


  • Mechanical assembly, following assembly instructions and guidelines
  • Learn to use assembly tools and equipment
  • Performance testing and inspections of assembly parts and products
  • Ensure product quality and adherence to specifications
  • Always maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Works under supervision both individually and on a team


Assembler Level 1 Qualifications:


  • MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions (in English)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components
  • Proficiency with hand tools
  • Pay attention to the details
  • Ability to work on your feet for a full 8-10 hour shift every day
