HVAC Service Technician - Travel Required

Full-Time | On-Site
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday to Friday (44-hour average work week)
  • Occasional weekend work and extended hours during travel (up to 12 hours/day)
  • No on-call requirements
  • Frequent travel within Canada and the US


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment
  • Start-up and commission HVAC systems at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and components
  • Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge systems as required
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Perform pressure testing on piping and tubing joints
  • Train customers, apprentices, and site technicians on system operation
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Journeyman Refrigeration Technician (or equivalent)
  • Alberta Gasfitter "A" or "B" Ticket (asset)
  • Alberta Electrician Ticket (asset)
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and background checks
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Company-provided service van

  • Company cell phone and laptop
  • All required safety gear
