Job description

Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Secret Clearance, a Top Secret Clearance is preferred. This is a hybrid position. Position Description: The CROCS Senior Strategic Deputy/POM & Budget Integration Officer supports and represents the Technical Director, leading PPBE activities for Defense Critical Infrastructure cybersecurity across the Air Force and OSD. The role requires deep Air Force cybersecurity and budget expertise, Pentagon experience, and the ability to engage senior leaders. The officer acts as a key liaison among HAF, DAF/DOW cyber stakeholders, and OSD CAPE to ensure aligned resources, oversight, and strategy. The position demands strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and high-level analytical skills. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: * POM Cycle Management: Lead and synchronize programming guidance, budget formulation, and execution reviews across the Air Force PPBE cycle. * OSD CAPE Engagement: Represent Air Force requirements in OSD CAPE deliberations, providing cost estimates, program evaluations, and analytic support. * Executive Briefing Development: Prepare and deliver decision-quality briefs, white papers, and memoranda for senior DoD leaders, including Flag Officers and SES. * MAJCOM Staff Action Officer Coordination: Draft staff action packages, staffing memos, and facilitate multi-agency coordination among MAJCOM, Air Staff, and DoD agencies. * Process Improvement & Oversight: Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices for financial transparency, audit readiness, and performance-based resource allocation. Required Skills: * Over 5 years in Pentagon and Joint Staff operations, including OSD governance and senior decision forums * A Bachelor's degree is required. * 8 years supporting DoD PPBE/POM cycles * 5 years in Air Force budget formulation, execution, and Program Element budget work * 5 years in Air Force cybersecurity and defensive cyber operations * 5 years developing and delivering executive briefs for Flag Officers and SES * 5 years coordinating across MAJCOMs, COCOMs, Joint Staff, and OSD CAPE * 3 years performing MAJCOM staff action officer duties and multi-agency coordination Preferred Skills: * Professional Military Education/Joint Qualification (JPME I/II): completion preferred; 2 years applying joint doctrine * Master's Degree in Defense Analysis, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field: 3 years post-graduate analytic experience * Financial Data Systems (PRISM, Forum, SAP-FSC): 3 years hands-on use * Process Improvement & Policy Development: 4 years leading workflow optimization and governance initiatives * High-Visibility Environment Adaptability: 3 years' operating in fast-paced DoD or Pentagon settings * Audit Readiness & Performance-Based Allocation: 2 years implementing transparent financial controls and metrics
