Hometown Plumbing, Electrical, & HVAC is looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead our day-to-day financial operations. Whether you're an established Controller or a seasoned Bookkeeper ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to talk with you.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow alongside a company that's committed to long-term success. If you have a strong accounting background and are eager to develop into a Controller role, we'll provide the support and training to help you get there.

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the month-end close process.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor job costing and profitability reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Support payroll by ensuring accurate labor and job cost allocations.
• Work closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and improve business performance.
• Coordinate with the Divisional Controller on monthly reporting, audits, tax preparation, and other accounting initiatives.
• Continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

• 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks; ServiceTitan experience is a strong plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
• Experience in the home services, construction, or skilled trades industry is preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Hometown Plumbing has been wonderful! Megan is always very responsive and helpful and Jimmy, Will, Tommy and the rest of the team have always gone above and beyond! They come right out, access the situation, give a quote, and then pretty quickly get to work. They are the most reasonably priced plumbers I've seen. They do a great job and even seed and straw when they're finished! Will definitely use Hometown Plumbing for all future plumbing needs!

100% satisfied. My experience with Hometown Plumbing could not have been any better. The staff (both the scheduler and the plumber) were extremely professional, helpful, and polite. My appointment was scheduled in a timely manner. I received a reminder call about 30 minutes before he arrived. The final cost was better than I expected. The work was done perfectly. The job site was cleaned up better than it was when he started. Thanks for doing a great job!

Plumbers Arrived on time, donned booties and assessed all my plumbing needs. Provided written estimates with various options. Answered all my questions. Worked efficiently and explained to me what they were doing. They were friendly, professional, and left my house clean. I would definitely use this company again, and recommend it to others.

We had 3 sinks and faucets replaced in our bathrooms. The technicians were very professional and timely. Megan, the receptionist was very helpful and kept us abreast of the time the materials were to arrive, the day they would be installed, and the approximate time the tech, William, would arrive. I would highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs.

Called Hometown Plumbing Monday morning about water heater replacement. They came out that afternoon and brought two different water heaters for me to look at. William explained both of them very well. They were very clean, nice, punctual, cleaned up after themselves, and gave me a great price on both the water heater and labor.
