To thrive as an Air Balancer, you need a solid understanding of HVAC systems, airflow dynamics, and the ability to interpret blueprints, typically supported by a high school diploma or technical training. Familiarity with tools such as manometers, anemometers, and balancing hoods, as well as knowledge of industry standards like NEBB or AABC certifications, is highly valuable. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with project teams and address client needs. These skills ensure that HVAC systems are optimized for safety, comfort, and energy efficiency in commercial and residential buildings.
