Job description

Practice Details:
  • There are currently two physicians and three mid?level providers on staff.
  • Office hours: 8:00 am " 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday 8:00 am " 12:00 pm, Friday
  • Physicians see an average of 30 patients per day, per provider, in the office.
  • On?Call: Will be 1:3 with new physician, for second call. Mid?levels take first call (fewer calls to physicians at night). Call days average about 10 days a month, but scheduling is flexible.
  • Typical in?office procedures performed:
  • X?rays (Radiology Technicians on staff)
  • Fracture reductions
  • Casting
  • Joint injections
  • Day Surgery / Operating Room procedures (no robotics):
  • Total hip replacement, including Direct Anterior Approach using the HANA Table
  • Total knee replacement
  • Shoulder replacement
  • Fracture work o Arthroscopy
  • Trauma
  • General Orthopaedic cases
  • Operating Room procedures are 5 days a week.Start time is 7:30 am in the O.R., Monday?Friday, based on need by the provider
Compensation:
  • Base Salary plus wRVU Incentive: Base annual $500,000.00 with wRVU incentive of $70.00 for each eligible wRVU exceeding 713 monthly. Incentives are paid in the month following.
  • Sign-on Bonus: $50,000.00 paid in 2 equal payments at the beginning of Agreement years 1 and 2
  • Call Pay: Surgeons are second call with $500.00 paid per 24 hour period of on-call.
  • CME: 5 days and up to $6,000.00 annually, no carryover
  • Relocation: $25,000.00 for eligible expenses directly related to relocation. Benefits: BCBS NC State Health Plan, Delta Dental. VSP Vision, multiple life insurance plans, Short and Long-Term Disability. All are available for purchase at the same rate as all other employees.
  • Retirement: NRH is not-for-profit so our plans are 403(b) and 457(b) for retirment with AIG/ Valic.

  • We are in the northwestern section of North Carolina at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are primarily a rural area but very close to larger cities. Winston Salem is 30 minutes away, Greensboro is about 1.5 hours away and Charlotte is around 2 hours
