POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Workplace AI Engineer/Developer leads the design and implementation of enterprise AI copilots and intelligent agents that simplify and accelerate work across the organization. This role builds agentic systems that automate workflows, integrate deeply with Microsoft and Anthropic AI ecosystems—including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Claude AI—and securely connect to internal and third party services. The ideal candidate translates business needs into scalable, production grade AI solutions while promoting strong engineering and responsible AI standards.

Working closely with partners across technology, product management, security, and legal teams, the engineer/developer ensures solutions align with company policies and enables efficient, compliant use of AI. This position partners with IT, HR, finance, compliance, and business leaders to ensure secure, ethical, and effective adoption of AI. We seek an AI expert who can lead operational, engineering, and security enablement across both Microsoft and Anthropic platforms, ensuring AI-driven productivity tools are impactful, trustworthy, and scalable. If you are passionate about driving AI transformation in the digital workplace, this role is for you.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, develop, and deploy intelligent agents, copilot experiences, claude solutions that automate tasks, support decision-making, and improve end-user productivity.
• Design agent workflows, tool use, and orchestration patterns to enable reliable, multi-step automation (including error handling, observability, and guardrails).
• Integrate solutions across Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents), Claude AI (from Anthropic) to deliver AI-enabled automation at scale.
• Build and maintain secure, production-ready integrations with enterprise systems and third-party services via RESTful APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Partner with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders in an agile environment—contributing to planning, estimation, reviews, and iterative delivery.
• Champion quality and operational excellence through testing, CI/CD, performance tuning, documentation, and continuous improvements informed by telemetry and user feedback.
• Implement, monitor and provide continuous improvement of digital workplace technologies (Microsoft 365 services and collaboration services)
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to document and refine Copilot use cases across departments (e.g., customer service, legal, HR). Monitor adoption metrics and KPIs using Copilot dashboards and analytics tools.
• Maintain Copilot Studio agents and connectors for integration with internal data sources and workflows. Develop prompt libraries and role-specific templates to boost user productivity.
? Act as an expert on Copilot capabilities, offering guidance and support to end users. Assist and Oversee a Center of Excellence to ensure end users and Copilot Champions have access to current information.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance Copilot performance and address technical issues. Develop and enforce data protection policies, including access controls, prompt injection defenses, and content filtering.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR). Maintain ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws and regulations relevant to your job function.
• Conduct enablement sessions, create best practices documentation for responsible AI usage, and stay updated with Microsoft Copilot changes and AI trends. Collaborate with service delivery partners to manage and secure digital workplace technologies.
