Job Responsibilities:
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Support, troubleshoot, and improve all control systems, including PLCs, robotics, electrical circuits, and pneumatics.
  • Lead controls-related projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Train and provide technical guidance to Maintenance Technicians on controls, automation systems, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Develop and maintain control system documentation, standards, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Analyze equipment downtime, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve controls issues and support new equipment launches.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, error-proofing, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, TS16949, ISO14001, and all plant engineering standards.

Qualifications And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of Controls Engineering experience, preferably in automotive or similar automated manufacturing.
  • Strong experience with Allen Bradley, RS Logix, DeviceNet, FANUC robotics, and automation control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (v13 or higher) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in electrical circuits, robotics, pneumatics, and automated systems.

Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, TPS tools, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret automotive blueprints, engineering specifications, and control schematics.
  • Experience managing continuous improvement projects and optimizing production processes.
