AI Technical Program Manager (AI TPM)
Locations: Edina, MN || Chicago, IL || Irving, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced AI Technical Program Manager (AI TPM) to drive the execution and delivery of complex enterprise AI initiatives. The AI TPM will work closely with engineering, product, architecture, platform, security, and business teams to coordinate cross-functional programs, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure successful delivery of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
  • The ideal candidate combines strong technical program management expertise with a solid understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, agentic AI, cloud platforms, APIs, software development lifecycles, and enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional AI/ML, GenAI, and agentic AI programs from planning through delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, milestones, schedules, dependencies, deliverables, and execution roadmaps.
  • Drive alignment across engineering, product, architecture, platform, security, data, and business stakeholders.
  • Identify, track, and proactively mitigate program risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and translate complex technical concepts into clear program-level objectives and outcomes.
  • Coordinate multiple engineering and technology teams to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Establish program governance, status reporting, communication plans, and executive-level updates.
  • Work closely with product and engineering leadership to prioritize initiatives and manage competing requirements.
  • Support AI governance, AI lifecycle management, responsible AI, and enterprise AI adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure programs follow established SDLC, Agile, security, architecture, and technology governance processes.
  • Track technical deliverables involving APIs, cloud platforms, data platforms, AI/ML systems, and enterprise integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program execution, processes, delivery methodologies, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Manage program documentation, decision logs, action items, and stakeholder communications using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technical Project Management, or a similar technology leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, enterprise-level technology programs involving multiple technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI (GenAI), and/or agentic AI concepts and technologies.
  • Experience working across engineering, product, architecture, platform, security, and business teams.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, APIs, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience managing program dependencies, risks, issues, milestones, budgets, and delivery timelines.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar program/project management tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing enterprise AI transformation or AI platform programs.
  • Experience with AI governance, AI lifecycle management, responsible AI, or AI risk management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, machine learning platforms, MLOps, or AI application architecture.
  • Experience working with enterprise data, APIs, integrations, and platform engineering teams.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or security-conscious enterprise environments.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or other relevant program/project management certification is a plus.
