Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...

Position Summary The Senior Manager, eCommerce Strategy is an individual contributor who will support the development and execution of strategic priorities across Walmart U.S. eCommerce. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and leaders to help evaluate business opportunities, develop insights, and translate those insights into clear recommendations and actionable plans. The Senior Manager will contribute across a range of strategic, analytical, and operational initiatives, using data, business judgment, collaboration and program management skills to help advance eCommerce priorities. The position provides broad exposure across the eCommerce organization and an opportunity to deepen strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional leadership skills. This is a hands‑on individual‑contributor role. Leadership will be demonstrated through ownership, collaboration, influence, and the ability to help move work forward across teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Advance eCommerce priorities: Partner across teams and functions on strategic, analytical, and operational initiatives. Evaluate opportunities and translate priorities into practical actions.
  • Bring clarity to business questions: Define key questions, organize relevant information, identify gaps, and develop clear recommendations and next steps.
  • Own projects and workstreams: Manage assigned work from initial scoping through recommendation and, where applicable, implementation. Coordinate inputs, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Generate insights using data and modern tools: Analyze data, dashboards, performance metrics, and customer and competitive insights. Use approved AI, automation, coding‑assistant, and visualization tools to accelerate analysis, identify business drivers, and improve recurring work.
  • Build relationships and influence outcomes: Develop trusted relationships across eCommerce and key partner functions. Understand different perspectives, build alignment, and move work forward without formal authority.
  • Communicate clearly: Translate complex information into concise presentations, updates, recommendations, and decision materials for working teams and senior leaders.
  • Adapt and improve: Work effectively across a varied portfolio, learn new areas of the business quickly, and develop practical tools and processes that improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong learning agility and curiosity, with the ability to quickly develop an understanding of unfamiliar business areas.
  • Experience contributing to or leading meaningful projects or workstreams in eCommerce, retail, strategy, business operations, analytics, finance, consulting, product, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical orientation and comfort working directly with data tables, spreadsheets, dashboards, business intelligence outputs, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to organize complex information, identify the central business question, and develop clear insights and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics without losing important context.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with partners across different functions and levels of an organization.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through credibility, collaboration, analysis, and follow‑through rather than formal authority.
  • Sound judgment regarding when to work independently, when to involve subject‑matter experts, and when to elevate a decision, risk, or dependency.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and adjust priorities as business needs evolve.
  • Interest in learning and applying artificial intelligence, coding‑assistant, automation, and data‑visualization tools to business problems.
  • A collaborative, team‑first approach and willingness to contribute directly to the work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within Walmart U.S. eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketplace, Finance, Product, or a related enterprise function.
  • Familiarity with Walmart data, reporting, and internal AI or analytics tools, with experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives.
