IT Project Manager Role

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of complex IT projects supporting multiple businesses within the organization. Projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or relate to improving business effectiveness and efficiency. In this role, you will provide input into the creation of the project budget and manage the project scope and schedule. In addition, you will be responsible for managing appropriate stakeholders and communicating as needed the progress to project plan; and any potential issues negatively impacting the desired outcome.

*This position is remote, with occasional travel to our Indianapolis, IN office locations. Qualified candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones, and it is strongly preferred that candidates are local to the Indianapolis, IN area*

Essential Functions
  • Assumes responsibility of the company's systems and network infrastructure projects to ensure the deliverables are stable, available and reliable to meet the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Partners with project sponsor to define project objectives, scope, schedule and budget.
  • Establishes project charter and plan, including success criteria.
  • Leads and directs project teams to meet project objectives.
  • Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives and success criteria.
  • Interact with all levels of employees to be able to visualize and understand IT-related problems and provide competent solutions.
  • Recommend new technologies and systems that will help in the improvement of the organization and various businesses.
  • Regularly work with other IT employees, consultants, programmers, etc...both internal and external as necessary.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to project team members and/or others in Project Management roles.
  • Works with client departments and stakeholders to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support.
  • Keeps informed of advances in technology and Project Management Report and communicate effectively to the Manager, IT Project Management and other IT leaders regarding all aspects of assigned projects, associated tasks and related project recommendations.
  • Performs other IT related as assigned to support the overall goals of ITSS.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Companyโ€™s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Preferred experience working in an IT environment or supporting IT related projects
  • Preferred experience utilizing AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.
