We are seeking an exceptional Math Teachera true mathematician at heart and a skilled and forward-thinking Math teacher who can also teach Artificial Intelligence (AI), computer literacy, and digital innovation to students in grades 3 through 9. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands mathematics procedurally, but conceptually; someone who can break down complex ideas into clear, logical steps and develop strong mathematical thinkers; can make modern technology understandable and exciting for younger learners while maintaining a highly organized classroom. This teacher should be able to introduce students to AI concepts responsibly, teach practical computer skills, and inspire curiosity about the future of technology.
The ideal candidate values precision, structure, and reasoning, and can instill confidence and discipline in students through consistent expectations and strong classroom management.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics across multiple grade levels (39), including arithmetic, pre-algebra, and algebraic reasoning
  • Develop lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and logical thinking
  • Teach age-appropriate technology and AI lessons to grades 39
  • Introduce students to concepts such as machine learning, automation, prompts, data, ethics, coding logic, and digital citizenship
  • Teach practical computer skills including typing, productivity tools, research skills, presentations, and responsible internet use
  • Create engaging hands-on projects using laptops and classroom technology
  • Build strong foundational skills while inspiring and advancing students toward higher-level mathematical reasoning
  • Maintain a structured classroom with clear expectations and consistent routines
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Prepare students for standardized assessments and long-term academic success
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; or
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or related field
  • Strong mathematical background; candidates with advanced math coursework preferred
  • Strong understanding of modern technology tools and emerging AI platforms
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to children and teens
  • Florida teaching certification (preferred, not required)
  • Proven ability to teach and explain mathematical concepts clearly
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to challenge students while supporting varied learning levels
